HOLLY NOTE: As a reminder, though USGS maps label an event "Last Day", it may be as recent as 1 hour + 1 minute ago. Events designated as "Last Week" may have occurred as recently as 61 minutes ago. This "lump sum" dating often gives an inaccurate picture of the exact time earthquakes strike - always pushing the date back.

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting more earthquake activity in Santa Cruz County this morning after a 3.0 quake struck in the same area Friday night.

According to the USGS, two earthquakes, including a 3.2 temblor, struck within minutes of each other this morning in the same spot as Friday's quake.

The 3.2 earthquake struck at about 5 a.m. and had a depth of 4.1 miles. A 2.4 quake struck about two minutes later, and had a depth of 3.5 miles.

Both of this morning's quakes were centered 9 miles east-southeast of Watsonville and 12 miles west of Hollister.

Friday's 3.0 earthquake struck at about 10:40 p.m., had a depth of 4.1 miles, and was centered 8 miles east-southeast of Watsonville and 12 miles west-northwest of Hollister, according to the USGS.
